Caldwell Family Photos

I started December off on the right foot. 12/01 Family photo shoot with the Caldwells. What characters these two young ladies are! Just look at the fourth photo. The shoot was to get a photo for their Christmas cards and one or two other things. Mom (Vicky) insisted on black and white photos, and clearly her thinking was top rate. What a wonderful way to start the month!

Newberry Engagement

When I first met Misty, photography was just an occasional flicker in my brain. (She was 8 I think.. ) Now look at her. All grown up and getting married to a fine young man named Ray. Being pretty close to her family, I was thrilled when she asked if I would capture her wedding for her. And the wedding story starts in the absolutely lovely town of Newberry.

Veteran's Day

I stand in awe of the men and women to serve our country in the armed forces. When you're standing before a few hundred of these guys with a big fat camera pointed at them, you get looks from them wondering if you are one of the "enemy" media guys who look for any negative possible to report on them. I spent time during the Vet's Day parade shooting, and thanking these guys for their service.

Brad & Jennifer

Brad and Jennifer are a perfect example of why I love doing this. Photographing them was an absolute blast. Two hours into the 1 hour shoot, I was still looking for interesting settings to put these guys into. (And you ask them. They got a climbing, balancing, dark, side alley workout!) But when you get a couple as naturally fun and lovely as these two, the inspiration just keeps flowing.

Election Time

If you saw the Flight of the F-16 photos in the last entry, you'll recognize the gentleman here. Sheriff Lott had his re-election kickoff in October and since he liked the F-16 shoot he asked me to shoot the campaign kickoff. It was clearly quite successful. The young lady striking a pose in the final image is his daughter, Mckenzie.

His election website is http://www.votelott.com

Flight of the F-16

When you get the opportunity to take in introduction flight in an F-16, you don't turn it down. In fact, you hire someone to photograph the event for posterity. Which is exactly what the gentleman here, Sheriff Leon Lott, did. I attempted to weasel my way into another F-16 by trying to convince everyone that an airborne, plane to plane shot, would be essential to the series. Sadly, everyone at the airbase seemed intent on cheating me out of a flight. So I had to do the best I could from the ground.

2008 Calendar Shoot

I was hired to shoot the 2008 Calendar for the Richland County Sheriff's Department. The theme was "Department in Action." Shooting took several months, but the results were worth the effort.

Sarah & Russ - Engagement

When I first met Russ and Sarah, they were excited about their wedding. When they booked me a week or so later, they were excited about their wedding, and about the photographs for their wedding. And at the engagement session a few months later, they were still excited. It showed on their faces and in their photos.
